“The most important thing in education is learning HOW to learn.” This has been my driving philosophy in all of my teaching experience. I have a passion for learning and a great desire to pass that along to my students. My goal is to unlock the mysteries of written language with my students so they experience success. I hold a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a masters degree in reading intervention. I am also trained in the Orton Gillingham approach and working toward certification with the International Dyslexia Association. I have 3 children of my own, whom I have homeschooled for the past 11 years. My 2 oldest are in graduate school and college and my youngest is in high school currently taking dual enrollment courses.
