We cannot believe it is September already at the Dyslexia Achievement Center! We had a busy summer with our new groups, new families, new location, and new team members. We are excited for the new school year. Remember we can help answer questions about school and different supports.
October is Dyslexia Awareness Month. We have fun plans in the center for the month of October, so please keep an eye out for more information. World Dyslexia Day is on October 8, 2024.
The Dyslexia Achievement Center is a center for learning. We focus on helping children and adults who have difficulty with reading, writing, spelling, and with math. We are committed to providing quality, individualized instruction that meets the needs of each student. We also have Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy services available.
We have training to also help with executive functioning skills. Some of these skills include planning and organizing, flexibility, initiation, inhibition, and self-monitoring. Students with dyslexia struggle with these skills at school and home. Please reach out if you have any questions.
Coming Soon! DAC-Dyslexia and Coffee Podcast. Please join Maggie Gunther and I as we drink coffee and talk about dyslexia. We are both practitioners and mothers. We are planning to launch the Podcast during Dyslexia Awareness Month.
